PKR Selangor delegate calls for party to use own logo in Melaka polls

MELAKA, Aug 15 — In a proposal during the PKR national congress, a Selangor delegate urged the party to resume using its own logo in future elections, specifically the upcoming Melaka state election. Ahmad Danish Hairudin, the PKR national Youth information chief, emphasized the significance of the PKR logo, which once symbolized the party's victory over Umno and the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition during the 2018 general election.

He urged the party to start using its own logo in Melaka, where the state election is approaching. The PKR logo has been employed in several elections, notably in the 14th general election (GE14) of 2018, when it was used by the newly formed Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition as PH's red arrowhead logo was still pending official registration.

Ahmad Danish cautioned against compromising PKR's dignity and interests in political cooperation with Umno, citing the party's experience in recent state elections in Johor and Negeri Sembilan as cautionary lessons. He stressed that the grassroots demanded a clear political decision from PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the leadership, urging them to prioritize the party's own direction over accommodating other parties.
