Phuket club guards filmed beating foreign tourist in resurfaced Bangla Road clip

A clip resurfacing this week shows security guards from a Bangla Road venue violently beating a foreign tourist in Patong. The guards drag the man from the venue and onto the street, where they continue beating him, even after he is no longer on the premises. The video, while old, has reignited criticism as people question whether the guards went too far in containing the situation.

A local council member expressed shock at the video's resurgence, noting that the incident had been settled privately between the tourist and the involved parties. He questioned why the clip was reposted without disclosing the date and outcome, warning that such actions can mislead the public and damage the reputation of Phuket.

Despite the old footage, a more recent incident involving two men fighting near a hotel in Kathu district was also captured on camera, though the cause and resolution of that altercation remain unconfirmed.
