Pakistani Tennis Legend Retains ITF Masters World Championship Title

Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi secured the ITF Masters World Championship title in the 40+ Mixed Doubles event at the championships held in Lisbon. The Pakistani tennis player teamed up with Austria's Nina Hermann, overcoming top seeds Fred Gil and Rita Freitas of Portugal in a straight-sets final, 6-4, 6-3. This victory marked Aisam's successful defense of the title he had won the previous year.

The Pakistani team continued to excel, finishing the competition with a total of four medal-winning performances. Aqeel Khan, another Pakistani player, also showcased his talent by reaching the final of the Men’s 45+ Doubles alongside Aisam. The duo secured silver, despite a hard-fought loss to France’s Jacques Glay and Jean-Baptist Renault in the final.

Aqeel's skill extended to the mixed doubles category, where he paired up with Germany’s Eileen Aranas-Roth to claim bronze. The Pakistani team's success at the ITF Masters World Championships included silver in the Men’s 45+ World Team Championships, further highlighting their exceptional achievements in the event.
