Pakistani Star All-Rounder Ruled Out of National Champions Cup 2026

Pakistan cricket all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz is unable to participate in the National Champions Cup 2026 due to a right middle finger fracture, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced. The 32-year-old sustained the injury during a match against Pakistan Blues on August 12 at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Nawaz played all 10 overs, conceding 44 runs and failing to take a wicket.

Despite the injury, he completed his allocated overs. Following scans on August 13, the fracture was diagnosed. The PCB confirmed that the injury will sideline Nawaz for a minimum of three weeks. He is expected to report to the PCB's Sports and Exercise Medicine Department in two weeks to commence conditioning and adhere to Return-to-Play (RTP) procedures under the guidance of the medical team.

Nawaz was the only player to feature in the match for Pakistan Gold, contributing eight runs with the bat alongside his bowling figures of 0/44.
