Oti NPP delegates urged to elect competent leaders for 2028 victory

Engineer Edem Gomashi, Second Vice Chairman of the NPP in the Buem-Jasikan Constituency of the Oti Region, has called on delegates to elect capable leaders who can revitalize the party for the 2028 general elections. In the lead-up to the regional internal elections, Gomashi emphasized that unity and effective leadership should be the party's top priorities as it strives to reclaim power, with a particular focus on ensuring victory for its 2028 presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

Gomashi expressed worry over the party's recent struggles in securing parliamentary representation in the Oti Region and urged delegates to put aside personal interests and back candidates with the capability to bolster the party's grassroots structures. A total of 216 delegates are anticipated to take part in the election. Musah Seidu, the aspiring Communications Officer, talked to Adom News and implored delegates to choose executives who can invigorate party operations and broaden the party's support base ahead of the 2028 elections.

As of the time of this report, voting was still in progress, with delegates casting their ballots. A significant security presence was also evident at Nsuata-Buem to safeguard delegates and protect electoral materials and property throughout the electoral process.
