#OsunDecides2026: Governor Adeleke Votes In Ede, Raises Alarm Over Plot To Disrupt Collation Process

Ademola Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, has raised concerns over allegations of an attempt to disrupt the ongoing governorship election. The governor, who cast his vote in Ede North Local Government Area, pointed the finger at the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a police officer from Port Harcourt. Adeleke alleged that the officer was brought in by the APC to "disorganise the vote".

He urged security agencies to closely monitor the situation and ensure the electoral process remains uncontested. The APC officer, named London, allegedly planned to bypass the normal election route, moving results directly to the collation centre instead of through polling units, wards and local government areas. Adeleke's accusations come amid mounting political tensions and allegations of intimidation and violence in the run-up to the election.

He appealed to the Police Commissioner and Deputy Inspector-General overseeing the election to take note and prevent any attempts to bypass the established electoral process. Despite the allegations, Adeleke remains confident of his electoral prospects, vowing to follow the electoral rules and procedures.
