Osun: Adeleke Casts Vote, Alleges Plot to Rig Election

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke voted in the ongoing election, expressing confidence that he would be victorious. The Accord Party candidate cast his ballot at Sagba Abogunde Ward 2, Unit 9, in Ede North Local Government Area. Accompanied by supporters, Adeleke arrived at the polling unit around 8:32 a.m. He raised concerns over alleged efforts to disrupt the election process and prevent voters from casting their votes in certain areas of the state.

A police officer named "London" from Port Harcourt, allegedly brought into Osun State, was identified as potentially causing unrest and interfering with the voting, particularly in Adeleke's hometown of Ede. The governor urged the Inspector-General of Police and other security agencies to investigate the allegation and take appropriate action.

Additionally, Adeleke claimed that there were plans to bypass the standard electoral collation process, with intentions to jump directly to the collation center, which he deemed unacceptable. He called on residents to remain alert and watch for any attempts to disrupt the voting process, assuring them that his supporters were present to monitor the situation.

Despite his concerns, Adeleke remained confident, stating, "I know, by the grace of God, I'm winning this election."
