NPP must elect strong parliamentary candidates to reclaim Greater Accra seats – Patrick Boamah

Patrick Boamah, the Okaikwei Central MP, has emphasized the importance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in selecting robust parliamentary candidates to reclaim seats from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra Region. Boamah believes that the NPP's performance in the region will be crucial to its prospects in the 2028 general elections, given the significant voting population in Greater Accra.

Speaking to the media following the party's regional elections, Boamah urged the party's new leaders to rebuild its structures and identify candidates who can win back lost constituencies. He stressed that the rebuilding process should extend beyond appointing regional executives, highlighting the need for a strong grassroots organization and capable parliamentary candidates.

Boamah also called for unity among party members, urging successful candidates to show magnanimity by embracing those who lost, emphasizing that they are all part of the same party. He commended the election organizers, the Electoral Commission, and the Ghana Police Service for maintaining an orderly process. Boamah stressed that Greater Accra's large voter population makes the region strategically important for the NPP's national electoral success.

He reiterated the party's goal of becoming stronger, better coordinated, and united with focused leadership, sound ideas, and alternatives that resonate with the Ghanaian people ahead of the 2028 polls.
