Ministry of Culture hosts cultural and heritage event for Pakistani community

Beit Al-Sulaiti, a Ministry of Culture-affiliated establishment, organized a cultural and heritage event for the Pakistani community in Qatar. This event brought together various forms of art including visual arts, music, poetry, and traditional crafts. Several artists from Qatar and Pakistan participated in the program.

The event commenced with an art exhibition that showcased a diverse collection of paintings and artworks. These pieces were designed to depict different facets of Pakistani culture and its artistic heritage. Additionally, seven prints, inspired by the Mughal era, were displayed alongside publications that highlighted significant historical and artistic milestones in Pakistan.

A poetry evening was another highlight of the event, celebrating the rich tradition of poetry and literature. This was complemented by a live performance by a Pakistani music ensemble. The musicians performed a selection of traditional songs, with the participation of some of the most prominent artists and musicians in Pakistan.

The event also featured a display of Pakistani pottery, offering a glimpse into a traditional craft that is an integral part of Pakistani culture. This event is part of Beit Al-Sulaiti's ongoing initiatives. These initiatives aim to provide expatriate communities in Qatar with a platform to showcase their cultural and artistic heritage. The programs further aim to promote awareness of these communities' customs and traditions, and to encourage cultural exchange among the diverse communities living in Qatar.
