Marvel unveiled James Spader as Ultron in the upcoming Disney+ series VisionQuest at D23, along with other intriguing details. Fans spotted a TV screen framed like a painting among Marvel's exhibits, which confirmed the artwork. The mural depicts Jim Hammond, the original Human Torch, engulfed in flames, accompanied by glimpses of Ultron from the 2015 Avengers: Age of Ultron and Spader's portrayal.

This sparked speculation among fans about a potential "human" side to the character and whether he might assume a human form rather than his usual robotic self. Another image on the screen featured White Vision, played by Paul Bettany, holding a Vision Today newspaper, presumably with headlines like "weather warnings... for the third time this year" and a "jewel thief" committing further crimes.

The Human Torch, known in the MCU as an easter egg in Captain America: The First Avenger, was first spotted as an easter egg in Captain America: The First Avenger. According to VisionQuest creator Terry Matalas, the show will focus on the Marvel AIs, featuring Spader's return as Ultron in a unique way.
