LioranDB TypeScript Series #1: Meet LioranDB V2, a Rust-Powered Document Database for TypeScript

The database engine is written in Rust, while application developers gain a familiar document database API without needing to understand the underlying database engine.

The pre-alpha release of LioranDB V2 was announced on 16 August 2026, and it emphasizes simplicity, developer experience, and performance. The driver supports connection-string parsing, transports, diagnostics, and a structured error hierarchy. The post-series will cover various aspects such as Docker Compose, Caddy and TLS production patterns, and other upcoming features.
