Lekhwiya delegation participates in Egypt's Civil Protection Search and Rescue Team international classification ceremony

Doha, Qatar witnessed a significant ceremony where a delegation from the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) in Qatar participated. Headed by Staff Brigadier Mubarak Sherida Al Kaabi, the delegation attended the International Classification Ceremony for the Search and Rescue Team affiliated with Egypt's General Directorate of Civil Protection, Ministry of Interior.

The ceremony marked a milestone for the Egyptian team, as it achieved the international classification of "Medium" level from the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG), which is part of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). This achievement is a result of the joint cooperation between Qatar's International Search and Rescue Group and the Egyptian team, focusing on search and rescue fields.

The Qatari International Search and Rescue Group has set a precedent by becoming the first Arab international team to train and qualify another Arab team, ensuring that it attains international classification. The ceremony was graced by Egyptian Assistant Minister of Interior for the Civil Protection Sector, Major General Amr Mustafa Beley, along with other security leaders from both Qatar and Egypt, as well as representatives from the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG).
