Leeds United Edge Closer To £8.5m Deal: Good Deal For The Whites?

Leeds United has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Borussia Mönchengladbach to sign Nico Elvedi for a fee of €10m, plus a 15% sell-on clause. The deal hasn't been finalized yet, as Leeds United are waiting for Sebastiaan Bornauw's situation with Hamburg to be resolved first. Elvedi, 29, has played 33 Bundesliga matches last season, keeping 13 clean sheets and scoring twice.

He also featured in three DFB-Pokal matches and was a starter in all six of Switzerland’s World Cup games. Leeds United might be getting a good deal, as Elvedi brings experience and defensive strengths to the team. His numbers, including 271 clearances and 72 aerial duels won, suggest he is an asset for the team. However, the deal remains contingent on Bornauw's transfer to Hamburg.
