Lamborghini’s latest Revuelto SV puts the F in fun with a special drive mode

Lamborghini has unveiled its latest supercar, the Revuelto SV, at Pebble Beach ahead of Monterey Car Week. This Super Veloce badge-driven model signifies Lamborghini's move into electrified territory. The Revuelto SV features a plug-in hybrid V12 engine, with total system output increased by 50 horsepower to 1,050 hp, and torque boosted to 1,051 lb-ft.

The high-voltage battery capacity expands from 3.8 kWh to 7.3 kWh, enabling an additional 190 kW of power without enlarging the battery physically. These enhancements reduce the 0-60 mph time to 2.4 seconds, a tenth quicker than the standard Revuelto. Top speed surpasses 214 mph.

The Revuelto SV incorporates various performance upgrades, including racing-inspired adjustable passive dampers, next-generation carbon-ceramic brakes, and specialized Bridgestone Potenza Race R tires. These modifications deliver 10% more lateral grip from the dampers alone and 13% more overall grip, along with a 5% improvement in traction at full throttle. The car's brake cooling system has been enhanced for better heat dissipation and reduced brake-disc temperatures.

The most intriguing addition is the new Pilota mode, designed to provide a more entertaining driving experience. This mode recalibrates the ABS, traction control, and stability systems to improve braking into corners, balance, and responsiveness. A dedicated steering-wheel rotary control activates the Pilota mode and unlocks a five-stage traction-control system based on Lamborghini's GT3 race car.

The Revuelto SV sports an aggressive aerodynamic treatment, featuring sharper bodywork, deeper creases, red detailing, and a fixed rear wing. The car's 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels are available in staggered sets. Inside, the vehicle incorporates lightweight carbon-fiber door panels and racing seats, with standard sport seats featuring carbon shells and optional full carbon-fiber monocoque race seats.

Although Lamborghini has not disclosed pricing, the limited production of 1,963 units suggests availability could become a significant factor for potential buyers. This V12 hybrid supercar is designed to offer drivers a more engaging and interactive experience, combining the thrill of a high-performance machine with the joy of genuine fun on the road.
