Joao Cancelo set to terminate contract with Al-Hilal and join Barcelona

Joao Cancelo, the defender, is poised to conclude his contract with Al-Hilal and transfer to Barcelona, according to reports from Saudi Arabian sports newspaper Arriyadiyah. The Saudi Pro League side has been in discussions with Barcelona throughout the summer regarding the 10-15 million euros fee that Al-Hilal seeks for the player, who is currently under contract until 2027.

However, the latest update suggests that a contract termination agreement between Al-Hilal and Cancelo is nearing completion, opening the door for his move to Spain. Cancelo has expressed his desire to remain at Barcelona after enjoying his second loan spell at the club last season. He did not feature in Al-Hilal's opening game of the season, and after the match, manager Simone Inzaghi stated that the decision on the Portuguese star's future will be determined by the club's board.
