Israeli mother and daughter badly beaten on Koh Phangan

A French man, Paul Gaubert, has reportedly been released on bail of 100,000 baht after brutally attacking an Israeli mother and daughter on Koh Phangan, Thailand, causing injuries that required surgery. The mother, who was in a hospital on Koh Samui, was warned by her daughter that Gaubert is a danger to the public and is free. The attack occurred on Tuesday while the mother and daughter were on a motorcycle ride to see a waterfall.

Gaubert asked the daughter where they were from, and when she said they were from Israel, he began to beat them. She managed to call out for help, and two French women intervened. Gaubert fled on his motorcycle, and the women and the mother were taken to the hospital. It was later confirmed that Gaubert had been released on bail.

The mother expressed her shock at the incident and warned Israelis and Jews in Thailand about Gaubert's dangerous nature. In response to the attack, a zoo on Koh Samui refused entry to an Israeli family, and the park posted a sign indicating that no Israelis were allowed.
