INEC Materials Distroyed By Hoodlums as Voters Run for Safety in Ejigbo, ADC Candidate, Salaam, Reacts

In Ejigbo local government area of Osun State, polling unit of ADC governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Najeem Salaam was targeted by political thugs. All INEC materials were destroyed, and voters fled for safety. Dr Najeem Salaam, the ADC candidate, reacted to the attack, stating that the electoral process was completely disrupted.

He believed the attack was an attempt on his life and reacted swiftly, moving away from the area with the help of his security personnel. Salaam emphasized that the attack was well-planned and that it occurred immediately after he cast his vote. He expressed deep concern over the state of Nigerian democracy, security operations, and the perceived unfair advantage given to political parties.

Salaam accused security agencies of looking on while the attack took place and called for scrutiny of their actions. He urged the public to take action against the use of force and called for a discussion on the future of democracy in Nigeria.
