‘Heated Rivalry’ and ‘Hacks’ Win at GALECA’s 2026 Dorian TV Awards

The 18th annual Dorian TV Awards, presented by GALECA, honored an impressive array of LGBTQ-themed television programming. Two standout series, "Heated Rivalry" and the concluding season of "Hacks," both claimed four awards each, highlighting their exceptional quality. "Heated Rivalry" secured the Best LGBTQ TV Show and Best TV Drama titles, alongside accolades for its lead Françoise Arnaud and creator Jacob Tierney.

"Hacks" was celebrated as the Best TV Comedy and for its outstanding writing, while Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder each received honors for their powerful acting performances. In recognition of its enduring impact, Lisa Kudrow was bestowed with the Galeca TV Icon Award for her final season of "The Comeback." The critics emphasized the diversity of this year's winners, noting the "swooning devotion of 'Heated Rivalry,'" the "tender complexity of 'The Boyfriend,'" the "bravery that cuts through 'Half Man,'" and the "community memory being kept alive in 'Lilith Fair: Building a Mystery."

Additionally, acclaimed performances and a range of genres were celebrated, including Marisa Abela's lead role in "Industry," Yahya Abdul-Mateen II's work in "Wonder Man," and "The Boys," "Pluribus," and "The Chair Company" among other notable series. HBO Max emerged as the top recipient, claiming ten awards, while Apple TV and Netflix each secured five awards.
