Guardians Lose Same Game They’ve Lost 100 Times Already (part 2)

Cleveland Guardians first baseman Nathaniel Lowe scored the first run of the game with a solo homer off the pitching of Michael King in the top of the third inning. The offense continued to provide runs, with Brayan Rocchio, Nate Lowe, and another RBI single from Lowe adding to the score, making it 3-0 against the San Diego Padres.

However, this success was short-lived. In the fourth inning, the Guardians' pitcher, Gavin, allowed a two-run homer to Xander Bogaerts, followed by a solo shot by Fernando Tatis, Jr. in the fifth. The Padres continued to pile on, with Luis Campusano driving in a run in the same inning, bringing the score to 5-3. The Guardians managed to add to the lead with a run in the sixth inning, but Colin Holderman allowed two more runs in the seventh.

Although a wild pitch in the eighth inning gave the Guardians a final run, it was not enough. The Guardian's losing streak continued, bringing their record to 59-64. The article marks the last recap by Nick before he moves on to law school.
