Frozen 3 Trailer Reveals Anna’s Royal Wedding and A New Icy Magic

The first trailer for the highly anticipated third installment of the Frozen franchise has been unveiled, revealing new details about the story and its characters. During Disney's D23 fan convention in Anaheim, Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell presented the trailer, which takes the audience on a journey far from Arendelle to a wild and dangerous frozen land.

The trailer begins with a breathtaking shot of the northern lights, followed by a falling snowflake transforming into a beautiful butterfly that flies towards the iconic Arendelle Castle. This butterfly collides with Elsa, Anna's sister, and simultaneously, a portal opens. Anna, Kristoff, and even a faceless new villain with dark hair step through this portal, discovering an icy world teeming with butterflies and an unknown antagonist.

Josh Gad also appeared on stage to sing a love song about a new snow woman named Samantha, hinting at the possibility of each character having a love interest.

Disney used the D23 convention to showcase the new costumes for Anna and Elsa, who will be enchanting audiences around the globe. The ice queen, Elsa, is now dressed in a striking purple-blue ombre long-sleeved dress with a blue hooded cape, while Queen Anna wears a white wedding dress adorned with flowers and Elsa dons a mauve dress. Their respective costumes are as striking as ever, complementing their magical abilities.

Regarding the characters' appearances in the trailer, Anna is seen wearing a white wedding dress embellished with delicate flowers, while Elsa dons a mauve dress to match her sister's attire. The trailer concludes with Anna in a white wedding dress and Elsa in a mauve dress, emphasizing the upcoming royal wedding within the story.

Frozen 3 is set to release just over a year from its announced date of November 24, 2027, and fans can currently stream both Frozen movies and multiple Frozen shorts on Disney Plus to prepare for the return to Arendelle.
