At a National Training of Trainers workshop, the handbook was unveiled to serve as a definitive technical guide for establishing standard procedures in the water quality value chain. The handbook covers source protection, household water handling, testing, treatment and climate-related challenges, as well as reporting mechanisms to authorities.
Nigeria's water challenge is now being addressed through a unified national approach, moving beyond fragmented interventions. The initiative also involves community participation, with the aim of ensuring ownership and sustained benefits. Nestle Nigeria's Water Regeneration Project will provide around 400,000 cubic metres of water annually to communities, promoting water stewardship, quality, governance and sustainability.
