Domestic observers have praised the peaceful nature of the Osun governorship election and the significant voter turnout in the town of Ede. As early as 7:00 a.m., observers with Kimpact Development Initiative (KDI) were seen monitoring various polling units before the accreditation process began. Mr Omotola Akinropo, a KDI observer, expressed satisfaction with the electoral process and praised the security personnel for maintaining order and preventing any potential disturbances.

He also encouraged all political parties to accept the results in a peaceful manner and urged the electorate to cast their votes without fear, fulfilling their civic responsibilities.

Mrs Bisi Adebimpe, from the Centre for Democracy and Good Governance in Abuja, echoed similar sentiments, describing the election as peaceful and expressing hope that voters would continue to follow the guidelines set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). She urged the electorate not to be intimidated and to participate in the voting process in large numbers.

The election, which took place in Ede North and Ede South Local Government Areas, saw voters queued up at multiple polling stations. Security personnel were present to maintain order and ensure a smooth voting process. Some of the polling units included Sagba Agbogunde, Ward 2, Unit 9 in Ede North; Orita Alajue, Ward 5, Unit 1 in Ede South; Adogbe, Ward 3, Unit 5 in Ede North; and CAC, Ward 4, Unit 2 in Ede North. Other locations with polling units included Obalaoye, Ward 2, Unit and Agip, Ward 2, Unit 3 in Ede South.

Candidates from 15 political parties were contesting the election, including the incumbent governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party and Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
