Disney’s Animated ‘Hexed’ Adds Jodie Foster and Walton Goggins

Disney's upcoming animated film "Hexed" is set to premiere on November 25, 2026, and the production team has announced a star-studded voice cast. Hailee Steinfeld, Rashida Jones, Tracey Ullman, and Stephen Fry are already part of the ensemble, with the addition of Walton Goggins and Jodie Foster.

Goggins will provide the voice for Beef Roger Crummchuk, a three-eyed cat who resides in the witch-infested world of "Hexed." He is capable of removing his head and spinning it around, reminiscent of the Genie from "Aladdin" or any character from Walt Disney's original "Alice in Wonderland."

Jodie Foster, on the other hand, takes on the role of the film's antagonist, Queen Celeste. This marks Foster's first foray into providing a voice for a Disney animated film, a venture she is enthusiastic about. Foster stated, "It is so much fun to return to Disney. Because that is where my career began."

Foster's career spans decades, with her earliest roles in Disney live-action films such as 1972's "Napoleon and Samantha," her inaugural starring role, and 1973's "One Little Indian." She also starred in the original "Freaky Friday" in 1976 and gained recognition as a serious actress through Martin Scorsese's "Taxi Driver," released the same year.

In the narrative of "Hexed," the film follows a teenage girl, played by Hailee Steinfeld, who discovers her witch abilities. This newfound power transports her into a realm filled with magic and danger, where she must uncover her true self and muster the courage to navigate this unfamiliar and perilous environment. Footage from the movie was showcased at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where it was praised for its lightheartedness and its homage to the animated Disney legacy, featuring enchanted objects reminiscent of "Beauty and the Beast."
