Dipke set to launch ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign, accuses parties of neglecting govt-run schools

Abhijeet Dipke, the convenor of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), announced his intention to launch the "School Thik Karo" campaign on Saturday, August 15, 2026. The campaign, which was scheduled to take place in Hingoli, Maharashtra, marked Independence Day. Dipke criticized political parties for neglecting government-run schools, regardless of who was in power.

Before departing for his hometown of Santuk Pimpri in Hingoli district, Dipke expressed his disappointment that no political party had made significant efforts to improve the infrastructure and standards of government schools across various states. He emphasized that people now understood the importance of discussing education, which he deemed the most pressing issue at the moment.

Dipke questioned the source of funding for the large banners displayed in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city during a Tiranga rally on August 14, in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He argued that the money spent on these banners could have been better utilized for the betterment of rural schools and students. Dipke urged the parties to consider whether they wanted to invest in the future of students or not.

During the announcement of the nationwide campaign on Monday, Dipke called upon parents to conduct social audits of basic facilities and sarpanches to take responsibility for improving the institutions. He questioned why new schools were not being built in villages when the country had recently established a new Parliament and a new Prime Minister's residence.

Dipke also highlighted the plight of village children who still had to walk long distances to attend school and often lacked basic facilities like drinking water and toilets. He expressed a desire for an India where children would proudly carry the tricolour to their schools instead of selling it at traffic signals due to poverty.
