‘Dimagi naxals still around, must find and isolate them’: PM Modi on Independence Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his Independence Day address from the Red Fort, emphasized the importance of identifying and isolating what he described as the "Dimagi Naxals." These are individuals who still harbor naxal ideology despite years of efforts to eliminate them through force. The prime minister acknowledged that while military action has targeted those with a violent naxal mentality, ideological naxals remain, threatening societal stability.

He stressed that these Dimagi Naxals are scheming to revive violence and anarchy, and urged the nation to remain vigilant in their identification and isolation. The prime minister's comments came alongside President Droupadi Murmu's own remarks about the ongoing challenge posed by Naxalism, particularly in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region, where efforts to combat the movement have led to increased development and hope for all sections of society.
