Decenas de guardias civiles y militares desembarcan en Ceuta ante el 15-A: “La alerta está, pero no es una amenaza real”

Dozens of law enforcement officers from both the Guardia Civil and the military have disembarked in Ceuta, ahead of the upcoming 15-A date: "The alert is present, but it is not a real threat."

The headlines and media, as well as politicians and especially Ceutans, have been closely watching this small beach, stretching approximately 200 meters between two piers and under tight Spanish control, where thousands of people crossed irregularly from Morocco to Ceuta 15 days ago. Since then, a tense calm has settled in the El Tarajal crossing, which separates Europe and the Alawite kingdom. However, on August 15, uncertainty is even greater due to the supposed call for a new crossing from the neighboring country.

The previous day, four agents of the Guardia Civil had been patrolling the strategic piece of land and geostrategic powder keg. At times, trucks from the Army of the Ground also arrive to monitor the area. Next to the 500-meter red buoy, the device is not particularly special for Saturday, but indeed dozens of civil guards and military personnel from the Army have traveled to Ceuta in recent hours, keeping watch over the ships arriving at the port.
