2027: Those planning to write fake election results living in the past – Seriake Dickson

Seriake Dickson, the national leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, has issued a stern warning against intimidation in the 2027 general elections. In a post on his verified X account, Dickson emphasized that individuals planning to manipulate election results are living in the past and will ultimately fail. He urged NDC members, candidates, stakeholders, and supporters to remain steadfast despite acts of intimidation and attempts to curtail democratic processes.

Dickson recalled his previous efforts in Bayelsa State, where he led the opposition and prevented the state from falling under the influence of corrupt politicians who sought to intimidate voters using federal institutions. He clarified that there will be no tolerance for intimidation of voters in Bayelsa State during the upcoming elections.

Dickson assured that NDC will continue to educate and mobilize citizens, including young people, women, and community leaders, to reject violence, resist intimidation, and participate in the democratic process peacefully. He encouraged everyone to vote out oppressors and lawfully defend their votes. Dickson expressed gratitude for the support and prayers received from his followers and pledged to see them soon.

He emphasized the importance of safeguarding Nigeria's democracy, urging the nation to prevent the formation of a one-party state.
