UP Govt Promotes 332 Naib Tehsildars To Tehsildar Posts With ₹56,100–₹1,77,500 Pay Scale

Lucknow, August 14: In a recent development, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has announced the promotion of 332 Naib Tehsildars to the prestigious position of Tehsildar. This promotion is part of the regular selection process scheduled for the 2026-27 year. The decision was made following a meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee on August 6 and 7, 2026, as directed by the Board of Revenue.

The promotion is based on the recommendations put forth during this committee meeting, ensuring a transparent and merit-based selection process.

The officers who have been promoted will initially serve on a two-year probation period from the date they assume their new roles as Tehsildars. This probationary period serves as a crucial evaluation phase, during which their performance and dedication to their duties will be closely monitored. To ensure adherence to the established rules and regulations, the order emphasizes that the promoted officers must comply with the prescribed conditions for promotion and follow all relevant government orders.

Upon assuming their new positions, the Tehsildars will be placed in Pay Matrix Level-10. This level comes with a salary range that spans from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500. This promotion marks a significant milestone in the careers of these officers, as they move up the ranks and take on greater responsibilities within the state's revenue management system.
