This LUMS Trio Just Claimed the Global Stage at L’Oréal Brandstorm 2026

Three LUMS university students – Aleena Khurram, Saad Tausif and Dua Sarfaraz – have emerged as global finalists at the prestigious L’Oréal Brandstorm 2026 International Finale in Paris. Representing Pakistan, this remarkable trio made history by making it to the Top 45 global finalists among over 350,000 young innovators from more than 60 countries.

Their journey began with a month of intense preparation supported by L’Oréal Pakistan, who believed in the potential of local talent. After conceptualizing a wearable fragrance strip during late-night study sessions, the team faced early criticism. They overcame obstacles by emphasizing that luxury is about how a product makes you feel, not just its physical appearance.

L’Oréal Pakistan provided an intensive mentorship program, with Rehan Saeed, CEO and Executive General Manager at L’Oréal Pakistan, guiding the team on adapting their concept for iconic luxury houses. Rahat Mirza, Head of Human Resources, coached them on embodying the “L’Oréal way” and presenting their authentic selves.

The students experienced the pinnacle of their preparation at Le Visionnaire, L’Oréal’s global creative headquarters, where they presented their final pitch to a panel of senior leaders from the global luxury fragrance industry. This transformative experience taught them the importance of innovation, critical thinking, and creating an environment that encourages creative problem-solving.

For young Pakistani students, Dua Sarfaraz urges them to take the first step towards their dreams, regardless of how unrealistic it may seem. This remarkable trio’s journey exemplifies the potential of Pakistani talent on the global stage.
