After four episodes of Stuart Fails to Save the Universe on HBO Max, we've witnessed four surprise appearances from Big Bang Theory characters: Raj, Penny, Bernadette, and Amy. However, the question remains whether the remaining six episodes will follow the same pattern. The key missing members are Sheldon and Leonard, whose absence is particularly noticeable given their involvement in creating the machine that led Stuart to his current predicament.

While their return isn't guaranteed, especially if the creators aim to keep the series for a second season, the current creators have revealed the reason behind the cameo appearances. It was largely due to availability and what served the storytelling, according to Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady, and Zak Penn. Melissa Rauch's demonic portrayal was particularly fitting, while Bill Prady and Zak Penn were delighted to feature Amy as the Golden Age Flash's wife.
