State Employment Service employs over 181,000 clients in 7 months

In January to July 2026, the State Employment Service in Ukraine successfully placed over 181,000 job seekers into employment, with the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Employment Center leading the way at 16,100 positions, according to the agency's press service. Throughout the first seven months of the year, Ukrainian employers offered a total of 273,000 job vacancies to the State Employment Service clients. The Lviv region emerged as the top region for job offers, boasting more than 31,000 vacancies.

The service reported that the typical duration for filling vacancies in Ukraine, excluding professional training periods, is currently 17 days. However, Vinnytsia and Kharkiv regions showed particularly swift hiring rates, with clients being employed after an average of just 10 days. Professions that saw the quickest employment placements included various medical specialties, such as thoracic and maxillofacial surgeons, rheumatologists, interventional cardiologists, and disinfection specialists.

Other promptly filled occupations involved metal and alloy casting, electrical engineering in the energy sector, weather technology, teaching assistant roles, steel roofing, and emery wheel dressing.

Employers predominantly posted job openings in the trade and services sector, accounting for 51,600 vacancies. Conversely, the least number of vacancies were available for skilled workers in agriculture, forestry, fish farming, and fishing, totaling just 7,300. Among the most sought-after job listings were food products sales clerk positions, with over 11,000 vacancies, and motor vehicle driver roles, which exceeded 12,000.
