Sheriff Country's Kelli O'Hara Also Stars In A Popular HBO Historical Drama Series

Kelli O'Hara is currently starring as Miranda Fraley on the crime series Sheriff Country, but in HBO's historical drama The Gilded Age, she plays a very different type of powerful woman. Set in late 19th century New York City, The Gilded Age follows the lives of wealthy society. O'Hara portrays Aurora Fane, an old-money socialite who frequently assists those trying to enter the upper class.

She also excels at pairing up romantic prospects for her characters, although she later experiences relationship problems with her husband, Charles. O'Hara explains that Aurora's dual nature as a charity worker and a woman bridging the gap between old and new aspects of life makes her role particularly enjoyable. With 15 Emmy nominations so far and a fourth season already confirmed, The Gilded Age has provided O'Hara with a significant television role in addition to her recurring appearance on Sheriff Country.

O'Hara, who began her work on The Gilded Age in 2022, had already established herself as a Broadway star three years prior to the show's premiere on CBS. Filming alongside fellow stage performers, including Cynthia Nixon, Christine Baranski, Nathan Lane, and Denée Benton, made for a pleasant and smooth process, as O'Hara notes that they all shared a theater background.

The camaraderie among the cast members eliminated any complaints, and they all embraced the work, making for an enjoyable experience.
