Selena Gomez sued for alleged fraud over mental health company

Five investors are suing Selena Gomez for alleged fraud related to Wondermind Global, a mental health company she co-founded with her mother. The investors claim Gomez did not fulfill promises to actively build the brand, leaving the company in financial distress. The lawsuit seeks to recover approximately $1.2 million, along with legal costs and damages.

The company was established five years ago with the aim of making mental health content more accessible through a digital platform. However, the lawsuit alleges that Wondermind's founders falsely represented their position by promising a full slate of ad deals, celebrity cover stories, an app, and other initiatives, while Gomez was supposed to serve as head of marketing.

According to the claim, Gomez purportedly signed a contract obligating her to perform, yet ignored it. The investors, based in New York and Florida, allege that Wondermind failed to meet basic obligations, such as timely payments to employees and vendors. Promises, including partnerships and an app, never materialized, and they were unaware of the company's difficulties until a September 2025 investigative news story by The Cut.
