Samsung Electronics recruits 2 AI experts to strengthen semiconductor competitiveness

SEOUL, Aug. 14 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Electronics has hired two artificial intelligence (AI) and data engineering specialists to bolster its AI expertise within the semiconductor sector, the company announced on Friday.

Han Bo-hyung, a professor at Seoul National University renowned for his work in deep learning and vision AI, will spearhead the creation of AI models tailored for semiconductor research and development (R&D).

Hahn Tai-rin, an expert in data engineering, will focus on constructing data sets optimized for AI applications. Samsung aims to broaden the integration of AI across pivotal aspects of semiconductor operations, such as chip design, process technology, and manufacturing, in order to enhance development efficiency and productivity.
