Sa Kaeo police bust Thai-Cambodian drug party

In Sa Kaeo province, Thailand, police and soldiers conducted a raid on a house in response to reports of a drug party. Ten individuals were apprehended, comprising four Thai nationals and six Cambodian nationals. The operation targeted a residence in Khlong Nam Sai subdistrict within Aranyaprathet district, executed by personnel from the Sa Kaeo provincial police investigative unit, local police, and military forces.

Authorities discovered 26.79 grams of ketamine, a Schedule 2 controlled substance, discreetly concealed in 123 plastic bags. Additionally, two digital scales were seized as evidence. Notably, some of the seized ketamine was arranged on a tray, suggesting preparation for distribution or usage at a social gathering. The suspects are now facing charges based on the evidence against each individual, which may include unlawful possession of ketamine and methamphetamine use.

Cambodian suspects might also be prosecuted under Thailand's immigration laws. The exact charges are contingent upon the outcome of the ongoing investigation by authorities. The arrested suspects and their seized items were delivered to investigators at the Khlong Nam Sai Police Station for subsequent legal proceedings. Sa Kaeo police vowed to intensify their efforts to combat drug trafficking, illegal assemblies, and other illicit activities in the province to preserve public safety and uphold order.
