Russian attacks kill at least 4, injure 60 across Ukraine over past day

On August 14, Russian attacks across Ukraine resulted in at least four fatalities and 60 injuries, according to local authorities. The Air Force reported 133 Shahed-type drones and loitering munitions launched by Russian forces overnight. Ukrainian air defenses managed to intercept 90 of these drones across northern, southern, and eastern regions of Ukraine. Drone strikes were recorded in 11 locations, while six others were affected by falling debris from downed targets.

In Kherson Oblast, Russian forces targeted 31 settlements, including the regional capital of Kherson, resulting in 14 injuries over the previous day. Sumy Oblast saw three people killed and nine injured by Russian attacks. Donetsk Oblast reported the death of one individual and 23 injuries from Russian forces. In southeastern Zaporizhzhia Oblast, two people were injured by Russian attacks. Northeastern Kharkiv Oblast witnessed five people injured in Russian strikes.

Governors from various regions provided updates on the casualties. In Odesa Oblast, one person was hurt during Russian attacks. In Chernihiv Oblast, two individuals were injured in a drone attack. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast reported four people injured due to over 10 drone attacks. Overall, the Russian assaults across Ukraine on August 14 resulted in a significant toll on human life and infrastructure.
