PM Anutin flies his own plane to Korat, escorted by 3 F-16s

Nakhon Ratchasima — Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul journeyed to Wing 1 in Nakhon Ratchasima on Friday, arriving in his private aircraft and accompanied by three F-16 fighter jets simulating a VIP protection mission. As the head of the National Security Council, Anutin toured the Royal Thai Air Force’s Wing 1 to assess operational readiness and observe air combat demonstrations.

Upon entering the airbase’s airspace, two F-16s flew in formation alongside his plane, while a third remained above for visual observation before landing. Upon his arrival, Anutin met with high-ranking officials, including Air Chief Marshal Seksan Khantha, Defence Minister Lt. Gen. Adul Boonthamcharoen, and other military leaders.

He inspected an honor guard and watched the Air Force showcase tactical missions, such as simulated air-to-ground and air-to-air engagements using F-16 jets. Expressing gratitude to the unit, Anutin commended their efforts in safeguarding Thailand’s sovereignty, especially amid security concerns along the border. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the Air Force’s fighter operations as a national security priority and pledged full support from the government.

Additionally, Anutin acknowledged the unity, patriotism, and dedication of the personnel, urging them to maintain their readiness in protecting the nation’s sovereignty and interests. During the visit, he inspected tactical military equipment and witnessed a Combat Search and Rescue demonstration involving an H225M helicopter.
