Phillies homer 3 times into the Field of Dreams corn in 7-1 win over Twins, with pair from Schwarber

Kyle Schwarber hit two home runs into the cornfield behind right field, extending his major league-leading total to 37, as the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Minnesota Twins 7-1 at the Field of Dreams movie site in Iowa. Schwarber's first homer came off Twins' right-hander Taj Bradley, who hasn't won a game since a three-start winning streak before the All-Star break.

The Phillies' Aaron Nola pitched a solid game, matching his season-high with nine strikeouts over five innings, and added a two-run homer in the seventh inning. The Phillies' Brandon Marsh also contributed with a two-run homer and a perfect game performance, reaching base four times. The Twins struggled, going 0 for 5 with runners in scoring position.

Despite the loss, the Twins' Trevor Larnach and Ryan Jeffers provided some offense with two hits each. The Phillies' victory moved them a half-game ahead of Arizona for the third NL wild card. The series will continue at Target Field in Minneapolis on Saturday night.
