Philippine central bank governor says Q2 growth number is disappointing
MANILA: Philippine central bank Governor Eli Remolona said on Friday that the most recent economic growth number was disappointing, but “it is not that bad”. The Philippine economy grew 2.3% in the second quarter from a year earlier, its weakest pace since 2021, due to a slump in construction and softer domestic demand.
