Pakatan BN-PN lebih kukuh jika dirancang awal, kata Hamzah

Presiden Wawasan Negara, Hamzah Zainudin, has stated that a Pakatan-BN-PN coalition would be stronger and more stable if they had planned their agenda and strategy from the start. He explained that previous governments combined UMNO and PN without a prior plan, leading to difficulties in building trust among the parties involved. This time around, however, the planning and shared objectives are being considered. Hamzah believes that with a well-defined agenda, the coalition will succeed.

He likened the political cooperation to setting up a company, where everyone must acknowledge their roles and responsibilities from the very beginning. The coalition this time should be based on shared goals to develop the nation and ensure that all citizens benefit from it. The goals should allow both coalitions to plan the economic and educational foundations systematically, aligning with the Reset agenda.

Many aspects of the nation need to be reorganized, and they must sit together, plan, correct the wrongs, and determine a better future from the very beginning. The recent BN-PN cooperation was demonstrated through the PRN election in Negeri Sembilan on August 1st, when they won 25 out of the 36 parliamentary seats. Hamzah emphasized that planning must include the formula for dividing parliamentary seats, which both parties have accepted, not just focusing on PRN Melaka, which is expected in the future when the DUN electoral cycle ends in late December.

He stressed that BN and PN should consider the strengths and weaknesses of each other in every state.

He urged that cooperation should not be selective, but rather comprehensive for the entire nation, not just Melaka. The previous PN stance on retaining all 21 seats won in 2021 is understandable, but overly rigid positions may weaken both parties in finding a middle ground. He added that the same argument could be used by PN, as the coalition won three out of six parliamentary seats in Melaka during PRU15, while BN did not win any.

Ultimately, Hamzah said that BN and PN must compromise reciprocally, including giving space in one state as a compromise for cooperation in another. While focusing on the current position, they should recognize the larger goal and sit together to compromise and move forward.
