New Zealand wing Clarke out of South Africa tour with shoulder injury

New Zealand's wing Caleb Clarke will miss the upcoming South Africa tour due to a shoulder injury, as announced on August 14. The injury occurred during a 54-0 victory against the Sharks in Durban. Clarke is the third All Blacks player to be ruled out of the tour due to injury; the other two being hooker George Bell, who suffered a calf injury in training, and centre Billy Proctor, who sustained a shoulder injury.

Coach Dave Rennie has not yet decided on a replacement for Clarke. The All Blacks are set to play the Bulls in Pretoria on Saturday, as they continue their four-test series against the Springboks, which begins in Johannesburg on August 22.
