Mother, Two Children Killed in Kaduna Building Collapse

A family in Dan Mani Community of Rigasa District, Kaduna State, faced a tragic fate when a building under construction collapsed on their residence early Friday morning. The incident took place in the Abuja Road, Kwanar Mai Dabino area, claiming the lives of a woman, her five-year-old son, and a three-month-old baby. The woman's husband, Abubakar Abba Haruna, was away from home at the time, having spent the night with his other wife.

Upon returning, he was informed of the collapse by his eldest daughter, who had awakened him by knocking on the door. Neighbors quickly rushed to the scene to help, but the victims were found deceased, with no visible signs of injury as the building had collapsed directly onto them. The deceased were identified as Takiyatu, 35, and her two children, Salisu, 5, and Muhammad, 3 months.

The family accepted the tragedy as a divine test, praying for the souls of the deceased. Community leader Sani Ayuba confirmed the incident, noting that a fence from a neighboring structure under construction had collapsed onto the house, trapping the victims underneath. Authorities were promptly informed, and prayers were offered for the departed souls.
