Mob Burns Man Over Wife’s Death

In the Bono Region of Ghana, a violent mob in Brodi burned a 50-year-old man, Kwame Jack, to death following a dispute over his wife's death, according to reports on Monday night. The 43-year-old wife, Abena Donkor, is alleged to have died in what sources described as a misunderstanding between the pair. Jack reportedly attacked and killed his wife before disappearing from the community.

The angry youth of Brodi organized a search for him in the surrounding bushes, leading to the discovery of his body at the Brodi Cemetery on Tuesday. Community sources stated that the youth searched the bush and found Jack's body, which was subsequently determined to be dead. The exact details of Jack's death remained uncertain at the time of reporting, although it was reported that he had been burned by the irate youth.

Jack's remains were turned over to the Nsawkaw Government Hospital Mortuary for preservation and further examination. The Nsawkaw Police have assumed responsibility for the case and are conducting investigations. Police officials have urged residents to remain calm and refrain from taking matters into their own hands as the investigation continues.
