Malaysia’s VentureTECH backs Move Robotic, Recove and Edote with US$7M

Malaysia's VentureTECH has invested US$7 million into three Bumiputera-led technology companies focused on warehouse automation, medical technology commercialisation, and digital tools for visually impaired individuals. The move reflects Malaysia's push to build more home-grown technology champions in strategically important areas and increase local participation in advanced industries.

Move Robotic, one of the three investees, provides a warehouse and logistics automation ecosystem. The company's solution includes hardware such as Autonomous Mobile Robots, material-handling systems, and software tools like Warehouse Management System and Robot Fleet Manager. The company aims to become Malaysia's first provider of a fully bundled Robot-as-a-Service solution, reducing the friction many businesses face when adopting warehouse automation.

Recove Group, the second company, operates as a medtech commercialisation platform. It works with universities and researchers to bring healthcare innovations from laboratories to hospitals and clinics. One of its products, NEORUBIN, is a non-invasive newborn jaundice screening device that could help reduce discomfort for infants and enable more efficient screening for healthcare workers.

The third company, Edote, focuses on assistive technology for the visually impaired. Its flagship product, eBrelle, is the first standalone Braille laptop in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. The company aims to support the visually impaired community by providing affordable and practical assistive digital tools.
