Lisa’s US trip post draws attention amid Blackpink anniversary backlash

This comes amid ongoing backlash over the group's 10th debut anniversary celebrations. On August 8, Blackpink marked its 10th anniversary with a fan meeting at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul, but the event faced criticism for its organization and limited access.

Only 40 people were allowed to attend, which left some fans unhappy that such a significant milestone was not celebrated with more of the group's supporters.

The backlash also brought scrutiny to how the members responded to the criticism. Jisoo addressed the issue during a live broadcast, stating that the members had wanted to meet more fans and acknowledged the importance of the anniversary. She apologized to disappointed fans and admitted there seemed to have been problems with communication surrounding the event.

Rosé also faced fans on a communication platform on August 11, expressing her feelings and acknowledging their concerns. In her Instagram post, captioned "Red rock therapy," she could be seen at red rock formations and aboard a yacht, which led fans to speculate that the trip was planned before the anniversary celebrations.

Lisa, however, did not make a separate public statement about the criticism on August 11. Instead, she uploaded a series of photographs, leading to speculation that she had been traveling. Antelope Canyon, a location featured in her post, generally requires visitors to join authorized guided tours and make advance arrangements, fueling speculation about the timing of her photographs.

However, there is no confirmed information about when Lisa took the photos, and their publication on August 11 does not necessarily establish that she traveled immediately after the fan meeting.

Following the fan meeting, Lisa had shared a message of appreciation for Blackpink fans on August 8. Yet, her later social media activity did not directly address the criticism over the anniversary event. This difference has prompted some fans to compare the members' responses, particularly after Jisoo and Rosé directly spoke about the disappointment.

The discussion has shifted beyond the organization of Blackpink's anniversary event to the varying ways the members communicate with fans, though there is no evidence that Lisa's photographs were intended as a response to the backlash.
