Leaked ‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’ Trailer Condemned by Christopher Miller

A leaked trailer for "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" has sparked criticism from one of its creators, co-writer and producer Christopher Miller. On Friday, Miller expressed his disapproval of leaks regarding unfinished, unpolished footage on social media platform X. Sony has not yet commented on the matter. The third installment in the "Spider-Verse" franchise is scheduled for release on June 18, 2027, following the 2023 and 2018 releases.

Co-written by Miller, David Callaham, and Phil Lord, alongside David, the film also boasts a star-studded cast including Shameik Moore as Miles Morales and Hailee Steinfeld. The leak occurred four months after Sony premiered the movie at CinemaCon 2026 in April. Directed by Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson, "Beyond the Spider-Verse" picks up right after the cliffhanger ending of "Across the Spider-Verse," where Miles Morales finds himself in an alternate reality, the original home of the spider that granted him his powers.
