The euro zone economy grew by 0.4% in the second quarter despite German weakness

The European economy has been surprising in the spring. It has grown more than could be expected in the midst of a scenario dominated by absolute instability caused by the war in the Persian Gulf. The gross domestic product (GDP) of the euro zone increased by 0.4% in the second quarter of the year and by 0.5% in the EU as a whole, according to the European statistics office, Eurostat.

And it has done so despite the fact that the German economy has slowed down considerably in that period, growing by only 0.2%, half that between January and March.
