KKF, Rotary Launch Women Empowerment, Recycling Initiatives

The KKF Legacy Society and the Rotary Club of Bourdillon prestige have teamed up to launch a series of empowerment, environmental, and community-focused initiatives in Lagos. These initiatives are part of a broader effort to promote financial independence, women's entrepreneurship, and grassroots development across Nigeria. The announcements were made during a medical outreach program at the Blue Roof Factory in Lagos.

The foundation plans to take its Hope 26 campaign to communities across the country. KKF's Founder, Ambassador Koki, or Kirti Sudhanshu, spoke about the empowerment initiative. She explained that the goal is to help women transition from trading to manufacturing, giving them the knowledge and opportunities needed to become producers.

Trading is deeply ingrained in Nigerian culture, but Koki aims to convert this tradition into manufacturing. Sudhanshu emphasized that financial independence is crucial for the initiative, as economically empowered individuals can better improve their lives and support others.

Winnie Ebiye, representing the Rotary Club of Bourdillon prestige, spoke about the environmental challenges faced by communities in Nigeria. She unveiled a new recycling project aimed at addressing these issues. Ebiye identified the indiscriminate dumping of plastic materials like sachets and bottles into drainage channels as a significant contributor to flooding in Lagos. She noted that this practice has been ravaging communities in the area.
