A bitter feud has unfolded between Dee Snider, the lead singer of Twisted Sister, and Kelly Osbourne, daughter of the late heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne. The conflict ignited on August 12th when Snider made allegations about Ozzy's involvement in songwriting for both his solo projects and Black Sabbath's albums. Snider claimed that Ozzy's wife, Sharon, and bassist Bob Daisley were responsible for writing lyrics, suggesting that Ozzy's contributions were minimal.

This sparked a heated exchange, with Snider defending his position and Osbourne defending her father's legacy.

Kelly Osbourne, in a series of posts on Instagram, vehemently refuted Snider's claims, emphasizing her father's enduring impact on the music industry. She highlighted Ozzy's six-decade career, from Black Sabbath's foundational role in heavy metal to his solo work, and insisted that Snider's attempt to diminish Ozzy's achievements only served to underscore his own irrelevance in the music world.

Osbourne's comments were particularly scathing, accusing Snider of desperation and attempting to generate publicity through belittling her father's legacy.

In a follow-up statement, Osbourne clarified her position, emphasizing her father's ongoing influence and dismissing Snider's remarks as irrelevant. She expressed gratitude towards Snider for bringing attention to the conversation, but noted that Snider's stance did nothing to enhance his own stature in the music industry. Despite Snider's attempt to clarify his intentions, emphasizing his love for Ozzy and the complexities of songwriting credits, the feud continued to gain traction.

Snider, 70, is currently dealing with health issues, including degenerative arthritis and heart problems, and has been replaced as Twisted Sister's lead singer by Sebastian Bach.
