Josh Allen and DJ Moore show signs of bringing back big-play dimension to Bills offense

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — After months of trying to build a connection with WR DJ Moore during Buffalo Bills' spring practices, QB Josh Allen finally realized he might be the reason the process was slow. Allen said he was trying too hard to impress Moore by aiming or even forcing the ball to him. So on the first day of training camp, Allen told Moore to just throw the ball without aiming, and he did just that.

Allen's decision seems to have clicked, as they now have a strong on-field connection. This connection was seen clearly during a team drill, when Allen targeted Moore running at full speed and gained a sliver of separation against three of Buffalo's best defenders. Moore caught the spiral and ran it in for a potential 60-yard touchdown.

Allen called it one of his better or more impressive catches and throws. Moore's confidence is high, and he trusts Allen to throw the ball whenever he's open. This new partnership represents the return of the big-play dimension the Bills have been lacking since Stefon Diggs' departure. Moore, a 29-year-old with an accomplished resume, brings a new dimension to the offense.
